Finding the floor

The 120 year old pine floor boards look pretty good. I have a dusty way to go yet, but it will be beautiful.

120 years old. wow. The stories it could tell. It looks absolutely gorgeous. I had heard that pine is notoriously soft, but your floor looks in great shape!

What a great looking set of floor boards. They are going to be a real treasure when you are finished with them.

I'm not kidding. Less than a second after your picture of a floor sander flashed on my screen, the smell was in my nose. In my head. It all came back, the three or four houses I've sanded over the decades. My favorite also had pine floor and when I sanded the paint off you could not only see the burn marks from the old Franklin stove, but the rust marks where the house had flooded a few times over the years.

A rewarding but tricky job, especially with pine. I can truly empathize.

Nice work!
