Sauce


Today was filled with an endless batch of pasta sauce. Lovely stuff, filled with spicy sausage, chunky tomatoes, garlic, and other nice bits, but I thought it would take for ever to get it all canned. One batch left in the pressure canner, then we are done.

That looks sooo yummy! I absolutely love homemade pasta sauce. I don't think I'll have time this year...to busy doing jelly and applesauce. After seeing your pics I'm definately putting it down as a 'must do' for next year! Kim

That does look so good. I have my tomato sauce in the freezer but I'm slowly collecting canning jars.

I've never canned before so I'm making a start with jams and pickles as they can be done in a saucepan. With the price of energy going up, not having to buy and run a second freezer makes a lot of sense.
