Goats in the garden, ponies on the porch

Fall has come, the grass if finished, the mob is cleaning up the scraps before getting relegated to their winter diet of hay. Yesterday I put them in the front yard. They're cleaning up the grass I didn't mow before it got cold, the weeds along the road and the fence line, and all the overgrown flowers around the house (I checked to make sure nothing was toxic.) We have really slowed down traffic today, and I'm sure we will hear from the neighbors. Still, strange as it may seem it will save me 500 lbs of hay and do the clean-up and fertilizing I didn't have time to get around to.
