Eating the yard

Our garden, which has always been important, is really being put to the test right now.  Everything we can get is either being eaten fresh, canned, frozen, or dried.  We still have to worry about paying the rates, and the mortgage, but food (except flour and oil) seems to be something we have.

Today we are planting a whole new batch of things for fall and winter.  Picts and details tomorrow.  We are also making pickles, roasting tomatoes, making more rose hip syrup, and making pizza.  It is Friday!  Pizza day at the Roost.  Should be fun.
