Darn. I am so sorry. I know what a sad time this is for you and your family. In the time that she spent with you, I'm sure she knew she was very loved.
Just the title of your post literally brought tears to my eyes. I am sorry. Our pets have been our kid substitutes for almost thirty years now. We have seventeen wood-framed flowerbeds, each with a nameplate. Underneath each one is a friend, buried with a 'toy' of choice.
Thanks for giving a chance to a dog who wouldn't have even had those two weeks without you.
Typing with tears isn't easy...I'm so, so very sorry. You are right two weeks is not enough, but I'm sure it was the happiest two weeks she every experienced. Kim
Oh, Alan--I am so sorry. People sometimes pooh-pooh the death of a pet, but animals bring such joy into our lives, their loss can be terrible. I hope your kids are okay. --Kate
Oh this is terrible. Please know our hearts are with you. There is a story of the Rainbow Bridge that brought us a lot of comfort when we lost our Ares. It translates well for adults as well as children... it helped when this hell happened to us. Please know our hearts and minds are with you all. Email us if you need to talk.
Dear Roberts Family, Much love to you all. Tallulah assures me dogs have a special heaven to go to where angels feed them their favourite food! I take consolation in her faith.
God, I'm devastated! I too am wiping away tears (not even from onions, for once!) so I can see to type. She was a beautiful little soul, and every one of us who shared your adventure was blessed by the time we had with her. I've seen a lot of dogs in my day, but never a face like that. I hope she comes back to you in a new guise one day!

I'm so sorry. I was so hoping that she would make it after doing so well yesterday.
I am so sorry and wishing you easier days ahead...
My thoughts are with you all.
